National
- The city of Lahore is at the top position in the Global Pollution Ranking. The morning air quality index (AQI) in Lahore has reached 400.
- The central government has unveiled the Mera Gaon, Meri Heritage Project to showcase village heritage. The primary objective of this project is to provide a wealth of information about Indian villages to both virtual and real visitors.
- The Government of India, through the Directorate-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), has lifted restrictions on the import of yellow peas.
- Duty-free shipment of yellow peas has been allowed till March 31, 2024, with a view to augment the supply of pulses in the market.
- The RBI has kept the repo rate unchanged at 6.5% in its recently announced bi-monthly monetary policy.
- Lal Duhoma has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Mizoram state.
- The central government has banned the export of onion till March 31, 2024.
Economics
- India’s forex reserves have crossed the $600 billion mark after a gap of four months.

- The Ministry of Defense awarded a ₹588 crore contract to Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) for the digital transformation of the Indian Coast Guard.
- India is hosting the annual Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit from December 12 – 14. The program will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 12th December 2023.

- वैश्विक प्रदूषण रैंकिंग में लाहौर शहर शीर्ष स्थान पर है। लाहौर में सुबह वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक (AQI) 400 तक पहुंच गया है.
- केंद्र सरकार ने गाँव की विरासत को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए मेरा गाँव, मेरी विरासत परियोजना का अनावरण किया है। इस परियोजना का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य आभासी और वास्तविक दोनों आगंतुकों को भारतीय गांवों के बारे में भरपूर जानकारी प्रदान करना है।
- भारत सरकार ने विदेश व्यापार महानिदेशालय (डीजीएफटी) के माध्यम से पीली मटर के आयात पर प्रतिबंध हटा दिया है। बाजार में दालों की आपूर्ति बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से 31 मार्च, 2024 तक पीली मटर की शुल्क-मुक्त शिपमेंट की अनुमति दी गई है।
- RBI ने हाल ही में घोषित द्विमासिक मौद्रिक नीति में रेपो रेट को 6.5% पर अपरिवर्तित रखा है।

अर्थशास्त्र
- भारत का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार चार महीने के अंतराल के बाद 600 अरब डॉलर के पार पहुंच गया है।
- केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने रुपये की विस्तारित ब्याज समकारी योजना को मंजूरी दे दी है। 2,500 करोड़ रुपये दिए गए हैं.
- विशिष्ट क्षेत्रों में निर्यातकों और सभी एमएसएमई विनिर्माण निर्यातकों को समर्थन देने के उद्देश्य से इस योजना को 30 जून, 2024 तक बढ़ा दिया गया है।
- भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने UPI भुगतान सीमा को 1 लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर 5 लाख रुपये करने की घोषणा की है।
तकनीकी
- रक्षा मंत्रालय ने भारतीय तटरक्षक बल के डिजिटल परिवर्तन के लिए टेलीकॉम कंसल्टेंट्स इंडिया लिमिटेड (टीसीआईएल) को ₹588 करोड़ का ठेका दिया।
- भारत 12 से 14 दिसंबर तक वार्षिक ग्लोबल पार्टनरशिप ऑन आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (जीपीएआई) शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी कर रहा है। कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन 12 दिसंबर 2023 को माननीय प्रधान मंत्री द्वारा किया जाएगा।

- तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए रेवंत रेड्डी ने इंजीनियरिंग स्नातक दामोदर राजनरसिम्हा सिलारापु को राज्य का स्वास्थ्य मंत्री नियुक्त किया है। उन्होंने 1982 में उस्मानिया यूनिवर्सिटी कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग से इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की।
