National

• All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been established at Vijaypur, Jammu, under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
  • The scheme focuses on addressing regional imbalances in availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services and enhancing facilities for quality medical education in the country.
• प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना के तहत जम्मू के विजयपुर में अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) की स्थापना की गई है। यह योजना किफायती और विश्वसनीय तृतीयक स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की उपलब्धता में क्षेत्रीय असंतुलन को दूर करने और देश में गुणवत्तापूर्ण चिकित्सा शिक्षा के लिए सुविधाएं बढ़ाने पर केंद्रित है।

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three new Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) located in Jammu, Bodh Gaya and Visakhapatnam, expanding the landscape of premier management education in India.
  • These institutes are part of India’s efforts to increase access to high-quality management education in various sectors.
• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भारत में प्रमुख प्रबंधन शिक्षा के परिदृश्य का विस्तार करते हुए जम्मू, बोधगया और विशाखापत्तनम में स्थित तीन नए भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थानों (आईआईएम) का उद्घाटन किया।

• As part of its commitment to clean energy sources, India aims to increase its non-fossil fuel-based electricity generation to 50% by 2030, from the current 42%.
• स्वच्छ ऊर्जा स्रोतों के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता के हिस्से के रूप में, भारत का लक्ष्य 2030 तक अपनी गैर-जीवाश्म ईंधन-आधारित बिजली उत्पादन को मौजूदा 42% से बढ़ाकर 50% करना है।

• Madhya Pradesh Government has announced an important initiative ‘Bag-less School’. Weight limits vary according to the respective classes of students, 1.6 to 2.2 kg for class 1 and 2, 2.5 to 4.5 kg for class 9 and 10.
• मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल ‘बैग-लेस स्कूल’ की घोषणा की है. वजन सीमा छात्रों की संबंधित कक्षाओं के अनुसार अलग-अलग होती है, कक्षा 1 और 2 के लिए 1.6 से 2.2 किलोग्राम, कक्षा 9 और 10 के लिए 2.5 से 4.5 किलोग्राम।

• The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched a joint initiative with the Ministry of AYUSH for public health of tribal students.
  • More than 20 thousand tribal students will benefit from this joint national level project on health screening and management through Ayurvedic treatment.
  • The initiative aims to cover students aged 10 to 18 enrolled in classes 6 to 12 in 55 EMRSs identified in 14 states of the country.
• जनजातीय मामलों के मंत्रालय ने जनजातीय छात्रों के सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए आयुष मंत्रालय के साथ एक संयुक्त पहल शुरू की है।
  • आयुर्वेदिक उपचार के माध्यम से स्वास्थ्य जांच और प्रबंधन पर इस संयुक्त राष्ट्रीय स्तर की परियोजना से 20 हजार से अधिक आदिवासी छात्र लाभान्वित होंगे।
  • इस पहल का लक्ष्य देश के 14 राज्यों में पहचाने गए 55 ईएमआरएस में कक्षा 6 से 12 में नामांकित 10 से 18 वर्ष की आयु के छात्रों को कवर करना है।

• NTPC Green Energy has signed an agreement with Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to set up India’s largest green hydrogen production plant.
  • The plant will be constructed on 1,200 acres of land at Pudimadaka in Achyutapuram mandal in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Under this, a target has been set to produce 1,200 tonnes of green hydrogen per day.
• एनटीपीसी ग्रीन एनर्जी ने भारत का सबसे बड़ा हरित हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन संयंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए आंध्र प्रदेश औद्योगिक अवसंरचना निगम के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
  • प्लांट का निर्माण आंध्र प्रदेश के विशाखापत्तनम में अच्युतापुरम मंडल के पुदीमदका में 1,200 एकड़ भूमि पर किया जाएगा।
  • इसके तहत प्रतिदिन 1,200 टन हरित हाइड्रोजन का उत्पादन करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।

• The ‘International Tourism Expo’ has been organized in Greater Noida from February 22. Travel agents from more than 120 Indian cities are participating in this three-day expo.
  • Internationally, Saudi Arabia is the program’s premium partner country, while Maldives, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are partner countries.

• Goa State Government to set up blended finance facility in partnership with World Bank. It is the first of its kind, climate-focused, multi-sectoral initiative at the sub-national level.
  • This will provide financial support to low-carbon climate friendly initiatives in Goa. The World Bank was established in 1944. Its headquarters are in Washington, DC.
• गोवा राज्य सरकार विश्व बैंक के साथ साझेदारी में मिश्रित वित्त सुविधा स्थापित करेगी। यह उप-राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी तरह की पहली, जलवायु-केंद्रित, बहु-क्षेत्रीय पहल है।

• Former LIC chairman M.R. Kumar has been appointed as part-time non-executive director and non-executive chairman of Bank of India (BOI).
  • While Srinivasan Sridhar has been appointed as a part-time non-executive director on the board of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB).
  • In another appointment, Arvamudan Krishna Kumar has been appointed as a part-time non-executive director of UCO Bank.
• एलआईसी के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एम.आर. कुमार को बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (बीओआई) के अंशकालिक गैर-कार्यकारी निदेशक और गैर-कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।

• PhonePe has launched Indus AppStore, a made-in-India Android app marketplace aimed at competing with Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Sports

• Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the fourth edition of the Khelo India Winter Games at Gulmarg.
  • Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Panamik was also present on this occasion. Around 1000 athletes from 20 states are participating in this sports event.
• जम्मू-कश्मीर के उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने गुलमर्ग में खेलो इंडिया शीतकालीन खेलों के चौथे संस्करण का उद्घाटन किया। इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय युवा मामले एवं खेल राज्य मंत्री निसिथ पनामिक भी उपस्थित थे। इस खेल आयोजन में 20 राज्यों के लगभग 1000 एथलीट भाग ले रहे हैं।

• By revising the FDI policy, India has taken a significant step by opening up its space sector to 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
